Can I bring in my own food or beverage?

No, due to Naval Preventative Medicine order P-5010 and Marine Corps Order P1700.30, the PVEC does not allow any food or beverage to be brought in with the exception of:

  • Wine or Champagne – $12 corkage fee per bottle (only 750ml bottles allowed)
  • Ceremonial Cake – $1 cake cutting fee per person
  • Cupcake Cakes or Candy Bars
  • Will need to consult with your Catering Coordinator to approve

How late can I have my event?

You are allotted the room for 4 hours; however you may extend your event until Midnight for an additional $500.00 per hour.  Please coordinate with the Catering Team.

What is your Service Charge & Sales Tax?

There is a 20% service charge added to all food and beverages.  There is no sales tax.

Can I bring in Candles?

Yes, but they need to be enclosed in a glass vase or votive, with flame below top of glass.

How many hours prior to my event may I have access to the room?

Your vendors may access the room 2 hours prior to the event.  Earlier access is an additional $500 per hour, and you will need to get approval from the catering department.  Starting your event earlier than previously scheduled may not be feasible due to other catering commitments.

Do the rooms have dance floors?

The Del Mar room has a built in dance floor.  A portable dance floor may be provided for the Crawford and Seaview room for an additional fee of $150.

What is the deadline for payment and final guest count?

A $500 non-refundable deposit and signed catering contract are due within two weeks of reserving the date and space  Full payment and guest count are due 14 days prior to your event.

Do I have to be active duty military to host an event at the PVEC?

No, the PVEC is open to the public.

Do you have changing rooms for weddings?

Unfortunately, we do not have changing rooms.  We recommend contacting The Pacific Views Lodge next door at (760) 763-7805.

What décor is not allowed at the PVEC, on the Pavilion or inside?

We do not allow Confetti, Glitter, Bubbles, Fake Flowers outside on the Wedding Pavilion, Sparklers, Paper Lanterns, nothing can be affixed to the walls, floors, ceilings, chairs, tables and chandeliers with glue, tape or nails.  The client and/or sponsor are held responsible for all damages and replacement of damages items.  Outside on the pavilion only approved vendors with labiality insurance are allowed to hang items on the arch. Inside the rooms we do not allows real flower petals to be on the tables and or floors.

Is there a clean up fee?

Excess décor or litter will be charged $500.  Mandatory clean up fee for Quinceaneras, Cotillions, High-School Functions, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Debuts, and Concerts.

Do your linens reach the floor?

Yes, for our 8ft rectangle tables, but not for our round tables.

Can I store my wedding/ceremonial cake in your refrigerator?

Unfortunately due to health codes we are not able to store in our refrigerators.
