Athletics, community-based recreational programs and field trips all play a key role in a child's development. Recreation activities through the EFMP at Camp Pendleton, offers information on organizations and programs within the community with an array of activities to choose from. 

Swimming

Semper Fit Camp Pendleton offers an annual summer swim program, which includes programs for parents and children with special needs.  Call 14 Area Pool (760) 725-5084.

NOTE:  Most local area community pools off base offer inclusive “Learn to Swim” programs as well.

Horseback Riding

Stepp Stables offers pony and horse rentals for families. For more information, call Stepp Stables (760) 725- 5094.

Special Olympics
Special Olympics offer a variety of team sports and special events. 

Lightning Soccer Club
Lightning Soccer provides all children in North San Diego County the opportunity to develop their love of soccer through an exceptional skill development program that emphasizes sportsmanship, personal development, and teamwork at all levels.

AYSO VIP Soccer

Exclusively for players with special needs, this program offers children the opportunity to get physical exercise, learn something new and establish relationships with peers.

Miracle League of San Diego

Miracle League provides physically and mentally challenged children, ages 4 & up, a safe and spirited program where they can hit, run, and catch on a baseball field. Players who need help with hitting, catching or throwing the ball are paired with a "buddy" who provides encouragement and assistance.

Camp FLASHHH!

Armed Services YMCA (ASYMCA) at Camp Pendleton supports the EFMP by sponsoring summer family field trips to several fun venues each summer.  Previous trips included Padres games, Disneyland & Wild Animal Park.
