School Age Care (SAC) is available for children enrolled in elementary school. These programs meet the accreditation standards of the National After School Alliance (NAA) and are staffed by trained School Age Care providers. All SAC programs comply with DoD standards for staff qualifications, program quality, safety, sanitation and nutrition. These planned and supervised programs are provided at Child Development Centers, Family Child Care homes and the elementary schools aboard the installation. The Children, Youth & Teen Programs assist active duty and DoD civilian personnel in balancing the competing demands of family life and accomplishing their mission, while improving the economic viability of the family unit. This Branch provides a full range of services to support parents in raising their children. Services include parent information, education, out-of-home child care and youth services for ages 6 weeks to 18 years of age (still in school). Program components include: Resource and Referral, Child Development Centers, Family Child Care, Fisher Children's Center, Youth Programs and School Age Care. Camp Pendleton has five full day Child Development Centers. These programs meet the accreditation standards of the National Early Childhood Program Accreditation (NECPA) and are staffed by trained child care providers. All CDC's comply with DoD standards for staff qualifications, program quality, safety, sanitation and nutrition. The CDCs offer a variety of planned group and individual activities tailored to children's developmental needs.
Family Child Care: Listen on how to Become A Family Child Care Provider The Family Child Care Program (FCC) offers an alternative to center based care. Providers are trained, certified and monitored by the Family Child Care Program. They are qualified to offer child care in their homes aboard the installation.
