DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
What is Domestic Violence? Domestic Violence or relationship abuse is a pattern of violent behaviors that adults use against their intimate partner. Abuse can cause injury or even death, but it doesn't have to be only physical. Domestic Violence also includes sexual, verbal and emotional abuse, as well as economic control over another person.
Some common signs of an abusive relationship can include:
- Name calling, intimidation or puts partner down
- Keeps partner from contacting family or friends
- Withholds money from partner
- Threatens to harm or actually physically or sexually harms partner
