A FMEAP Employment Consultant will assist the military spouse in the following areas:
• Teach the spouse to plan and manage their own career.
• Discover employment options through career development assessment testing.
• Identify and market knowledge, skills and abilities and qualifications to potential employers.
• Learn effective networking techniques to seek out job opportunities.
• Learn to write powerful resumes and job search documents.
• Effectively answer tricky interview questions with confidence and professional poise.
• Acquire salary negotiation tactics and effectively evaluate job offers.
• Locate job resources that can be helpful when securing adequate employment
• Employment coaching to include goal identification and evaluation.
• Educational resources and associated costs.
• Career credentialing and licensing information to include local and national requirements.
• Specialized training in specific careers through Regional Occupational Programs.
