EFMP FAMILY FORUM:
MILITARY COMMITTEE FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES
WHAT IS THE FOCUS?
This committee is a forum to identify and champion issues of our special needs families. We hope to foster ideas, promote creativity, integrate work, and solve problems. This committee will allow for greater coordination and collaboration in accessing quality support services.
WHO IS INVITED?
A open forum for all EFMP military families, active duty and retired, in conjunction with, and whose purpose is, to make recommendations and advise the Commanding Officer, Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton of improvements to services and accessibility for disabled persons aboard the base. All active duty, their dependants and retired personnel are invited to attend the meetings.
WHEN DOES IT MEET?
The Military Committee for Persons with Disabilities (MCFPWD) meets each quarter at the Marine & Family Services building 13150 on the last Wednesday of January, April, July and October between 1000-1100 hrs*.
HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?
All Exceptional Family Members are encouraged to attend the meetings and become a member. It is simple to join- simply contact one of the EFMP offices to request a membership sheet. Please note that membership is not required to attend, all EFM's are welcome. Concerns and requests for topic reviews are made using the Request for Review Form which is available at the EFMP offices as well. Provide your idea or concern to the committee in advance of the meeting to allow time for coordination of review process.
