L.I.N.K.S. for Kids

Hey, Marine Kid! Do you want to come to a fun-filled, half-day workshop with other Marine kids ages 6-12? LINKS for Kids offers an orientation to the Marine Corps lifestyle with the aim of helping you adapt to the unique challenges military life often presents. The climate is informal with an attention-grabbing structure and format. You receive real life tips, information on Marine Corps culture and resources available to you. It is also a forum for you pass on your Marine Corps lifestyle insights in a positive environment and help others learn to help themselves. L.I.N.K.S. for Kids provides you and other school-age youth the opportunity to make new friends and enjoy being a part of the Marine Corps family.

L.I.N.K.S. for Teens

What up, Marine Teen? Do you ever feel like being a military teen is the most difficult job in the world? Your life is full of challenges that most of your friends may never understand: Growing up bouncing from base to base, having a parent that deploys thousands of miles away, or changing schools like Taylor Swift changes boyfriends (well, maybe not that much). This workshop offers a chance to connect with your peers, to learn about the Corps, and to identify resources so you can find the support that you want when you need it. Basically, L.I.N.K.S. for Teens provides you and other teens the opportunity to make new friends and enjoy being a part of the Marine Corps family.

LINKS for Parents

Having trouble adjusting to your baby boy or girl being a US Marine? Does it sound like they are speaking in a foreign language or not speaking at all? Although they may be stationed nearby, does it feel like they’re a million miles away sometimes? Well…we can help! Join us for a workshop that is sure to give you tons of “ah-ha” moments. You’ll have the chance to ask every question that you’ve ever had about being the parent of a Devil Dog! Most importantly, and in standard LINKS fashion, you’ll have a chance to connect with other parents and family members who are in the same boat…all the while participating in a super fun and engaging webinar. Whether you have no idea what questions to ask, or you feel like you have most of the answers…this the workshop for you!

L.I.N.K.S. for Marines

All of the fun, food and information of LINKS geared toward you–Active Duty Marines. You will learn wondrous and relevant information about available resources, pay and budgeting and the process of PCSing . LINKS will also help you understand how your family experiences separations and deployments (maybe your significant other is not all that crazy). As a bonus, a MCFTB Trainer will facilitate an abbreviated version of one of the many LifeSkills classes offered by MCFTB. Perhaps most importantly, you will be fed a home-cooked meal AND LINKS sessions always conclude with cupcakes! Talk to your Command or FRO today to request a LINKS for Marines for your unit.
