TRAVELING WITH PETS
If you'll be PCSing in the next few months, please take a minute to read this information about traveling with pets.
Contact the Camp Pendleton Veterinary Treatment Facility (VTF) at 760-725-3439 as soon as you know you will PCS.
The process for Hawaii and Japan takes multiple visits with your pet to the VTF.
Follow the appointment timeline as directed by the VTF staff. The necessary dates and timelines are established by the governing agencies of
the states or countries involved and are very rigid. Failure to follow the proper timeline can result in extended quarantine times for your pets and
large out of pocket expenses upon arrival.
The final visit to the VTF for the pet must be within 10 days of arrival at your new location. Appointments fill up fast, so plan to call the VTF for the appointment 2-3 weeks in advance.
